Barrel House

We started Sunday Funday right, at the Jazz Brunch at Barrel House in Garden City, on Chinden and Glenwood.

They serve a simple brunch on Saturday and Sunday starting at 10am, and took reservations in the “Vault” for the Jazz Brunch.  The vault is a cute back room with a speakeasy vibe. There’s even velvet curtains, and delightful entertainment – a torch singer and her guitarist/accompaniment.

The first things we ordered were, of course, mimosas!  Bottomless mimosas for $12, they just bring you the bottle of sparking wine and they all the juices. They don’t have a liquor license, so it is beer and wine only – but they have great beer choices and canned bloody mary’s that you can customize with garnishes.

They offer burritos, french toast, pancakes and build your own omelets and scrambles with shredded hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy on the side. You can also just get a traditional eggs over easy with hashbrowns and fruit.

Their lunch and dinner menu looked great, as did their happy hour specials. They also have live bands in the main room on Fridays and Saturday(!) so we will definitely be back.

Ciao!
